I'm throwing together a small (4 player) LAN party tonight and need some suggestions on good 4 player co-op games that are either free or very cheap < $20. Pure shooters like TF2 or Hawken are probably out for this group. My list so far is:

Did the NA Ni no Kuni DLC familiar come out yesterday? I forgot to look. Anyone else feel that the final battle is nearly twice as hard as any other boss in the game? Everything till now was a breeze. I probably shouldn't be trying to finish it with everyone in their late 40s - early 50s. Time to go fill up some…

I seriously try not to do this, but I will occasionally seek out a walkthrough. With so many games out there, and so little time, I can't always be bothered to spend an evening figuring out a solution when I get stuck. Does anyone else seriously dislike the modern trend of doing walk-throughs in video form? Give…

After having those downloaded PS+ Vita titles sitting in XMB for a while now, I finally scrounged enough cash together to pick one up. So far, Gravity Rush and Mutant Blobs Attack are the only one I've really played. (Ni no Kuni has taken precedence) Something I didn't expect, and didn't even notice until I plugged…

I finally picked up XCOM: Enemy Unknown during that awesome GMG sale. Is it just me or does the difficulty skyrocket about 8-10 missions into the game? I went from the occasional loss of a squad member during a mission, to having the entire team massacred within about 2 turns. Does the difficulty flatten back out…

Did anyone else rush home yesterday and download Ni No Kuni? I did. It looks great, IMO. Now I have to wait another month and a half =(... The Guardian of the Forest fight really showed how awesome the combat system could be, but it seemed a bit cumbersome on the other boss fight. And boy, were there a lot of…

I need some advice. Do you any you know of a good turn based strategy game along the lines of XCOM or Valkyria Chronicles? I'm about to give Total War: Shogun 2 a whirl, but it's really hard to tell how things work by watching youtube videos.

I finally picked up Darksiders II. I only have a couple of complains so far. The first is that the puzzles are a bit too easy. The second is many of the puzzles can be solved before even realizing there is a puzzle there. Simply finding a ledge or pushing a ball into it's hole will open a door that you hadn't…

Could someone who has played the Torchlight 2 beta help me out with some info here? Are players able to use the same characters for offline and online games, or are they separate toons? If the same character can be used both online and offline, is there a major concern for save game hacking (Borderlands), or does…

Anyone out there in the Midwest with a GameFly subscription? I signed up on Aug. 31st and have yet to receive a game. I'm not sure if it's reasonable to report a shipping problem at this point. I understand they don't have many shipping locations, but 10 days seems a bit extreme. With one out at a time + shipping…

I just signed up for Crunchyroll and need some help on what to watch. I enjoy anime in the "Psychological-Thriller" genre. I've heard Steins Gate was a good one, but alas. It's not on Crunchyroll. Any advice on what I might enjoy in the Cruncyroll library?

I just started playing Ratchet & Clank - All 4 One. It was one of the free games with PS+, and I'm really floored by the quality. I haven't played any R&C games in the past, so maybe I've been missing out. The game is a nice mix of a Dreamworks/Pixar film style graphics with Portal-esque humor, all wrapped up in a…

Just finished El Shaddai. I made a post a while back about how bat-shit crazy this game is, but it was premature. This game is super-bat-shit crazy. I can't say that I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't enjoy quirky, off the wall games. That said, it was a lot of fun.
